Marjorie, At this time I believe that my Selway family members were farmers. On the birth registration for one of the children of my gr-grandparents, James Selway (my gr-grandfather) is listed as having the occupation of "Yeoman". When they emmigrated to the US, they settled on farms, first in Kenosha County, WI and then in Dillon, Montana. They left Chewton Mendip about the same time era as your Selways. My family came to the US in 1846. If there is a connection wtih your family, I certainly would like to hear more! I have information and pictures of the Chewton Mendip area that I would be willing to share - if you would like it. Carole
