selveys in UK

We are down to 2 generations of Selveys in Leicestershire, England - don't know of any other Selveys in the UK. Our original family name is Sienkiewicz, (Polish, related to Henryk) changed to Selvey after World War 2, when my Grandfather, John, moved to England and married my Grandmother, Theresa Leach. Both of my grandparents dies recently and there are a lot of unanswered questions. I don't know why the name Selvey was chosen - maybe someone out there does?!

My name is Anna, and I'm a teacher based in York, and I'd love to hear from any Selveys, especially those who can shed any light on the name, its origins etc.
