Hello Michelle,
I have visited this site before, but did not look at all the messages properly.
Now that I have, I find that I am descended from the same tree as you, so we must be related!!
Elizabeth Baker was my 5X grandmother, and her son Stephen was my 4X grandfather. At that stage it becomes a bit confusing, because their daughter Elizabeth SELMES(b1785) married her cousin Samuel SELMES ( b 1783 son of Simon SELMES).they were my 3X grandparents.
Their son William SELMES (b1818) married Ann GILSON GOODWIN, and they had at least 7 children, of whom Maria Elcey SELMES was my great grandmother. She married George SAUNDERS from Lyndhurst, Hants, and moved to Charlwood in Surrey.
Regards..........Phil How
