Dora Cornelia (Selman) Todd (3 Aug 1866-26 Aug 1931) was born in Ga. and married James Westly Todd in 1882 in Arkansas. Lived in Marlowe, Ok. She died in Grady County, Ok. I have no information about her descendants, but would appreciate any info you can provide. Dora was the 9th child of Wylie R. Selman who was born in Ga. in 1819 according to the 1850 Census of Coweta County, Ga. Wylie married Mary Holland on 3 Jan 1843. They had 8 children to-wit: Mary E. Selman, born ca 1844, John William Selman, born ca 1849, James Frank Selman, born 19 oct 1853, William Lindsey Selman, born 1852, Wylie Hilliard Selman, born 24 Feb 1856, Andrew Monroe Selman, born ca 1858, Ella Selman, born 1861 and Ada Selman, born ca 1863. Wylie married Amanda "Maude" Elizabeth Smith on 17 Sep 1865 in Campbell County, GA. They had 3 children to-wit: Dora Cornelia Selman, born 2 Aug 1866, Odesa Selman, born ca 1869 and Henry Melvin Selman, born 14 Mar 1871. To the best of my knowledge, Wylie R. Selman was the son of John Selman, Jr., and wife, Mary, the grandson of John Selman (ca 1740-1827) of Franklin County, Ga. and the great grandson of Benjamin Lawrence Selman (1710-1774) and his wife, Ann Powell. Note that Wiley R. Selman was in Campbell County, Ga. in the 1860 and 1870 Censuses. Virtually all of the descendants of Wiley R. Selman, except for John William Selman moved into Servier County, Ark by 1871. W. E. Todd was already there. On 29 Sep 1871, W.E. Todd and Elizabeth Todd of Servier County, Ark. conveyed to William Sellman land located in Servier County, Ark. (This was William Lindsey Selman). Notify Administrator about this message?
