Hello Linda and Linda
Ernest Euell Sellers was my husband's uncle. My husband was a member of the Mayflower society but through Lavinia Brack Anderson>Elvy Anderson Shepherd>Charity Shepherd Bonham>James Bonham>Martha Letitia Bonham Sellers>Ronald E Sellers Sr. Do either of you have any information about William Calvin Sellers? We have his marriage to Lavinia Anderson (daughter of Lavinia Brack Anderson) in Jefferson Co GA 1818. They moved to Lowndes Co AL about 1828. That is where we hit our brick wall. William Calvin's father William is most likely the Son of Revolutionary War soldier Elisha Sellers of Brunswick Co. North Carolina and his first wife and is probably the William mentioned in Elisha's 1801 will. No documents have been located which will prove this relationship but a thorough search of existing records fails to show any other identification for William. William Calvin Sellers has a name-sake among the descendants of Pike Co AL pioneer Samuel Sellers who was a proven son of Elisha Sellers indicating a probable family relationship. I have quite a lot of data on the descendants of William Calvin which I will share. Mamie S.
