hello,
I am looking for information on the parents of the following Sell family from Louisville, KY. I have in the 1900 census the family as Charles b. Aug 1871 living with his wife Mamie b. 1876, and her mother Minnie b. 1846 KY. The other children in the house are Edward b. 1878, Arthur b.July 1879, William b.Aug 6 1882 and a sister born in 1884. There are no parents to Charles, Arthur, Edward, and William in the house and the oldest brother Charles is the head of household. My grandmother has told me William's father died when he was young, but I cannot seem to locate them in the 1880 census when I know the parents and some of the children should have been listed. The father appears to have been from either Germany or born in Kentucky, and the mother appears to have been born in Kentucky. Anyone have any information on this family?
