Per William G. Scroggins in his book Leaves of a Stunted Shrub Vol. 4, p. 8;267, Betsy Brent had no children of her own body so there had to be a first wife.
Charnock was b 4 Jun 1755 Loudon County, Virginia, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Jenkins Self. He d 1834 Scott County, Kentucky. Married Betsy Brent c 1791. I would be interested in who his first wife was and the correct dates for the birth and deaths of his children.
