I thought I'd throw my two cents worth in...maybe this will help someone; (Echols, Windham, Self, Windom)
(I have two lines of Windom/Windhams)

married Lula E. Windham B. Nov. 1863 (my gg grandmother)
children: May D. dau. B. My 1886
Willie Ora dau. B. May or March 1888 (my great grandmother)(death certificate reads March 8,1888
Noah A. son. B. (can't read mo.) 1890
Claud L. son. B. Sept. 1893
Saber T. (I think daughter) B. Apr. 1897
Ella Windham(maiden name unknown) B. Nov. 1843 (Lula's mother)(my ggg grandmother)
Viola Mae Self (Windom)B. July 31, 1905 Norman Oklahoma,my grandmother married Benjamin Love Windom B. Aug. 7, 1899 Viola - daughter of Willie Ora Echols (Self)
I have info on the Self bros. and sisters and her children.
This is on the 1900 census for Coryell Co., Texas. Presint 8, Page 6. Check it out!
