We believe we have identified Jacob Dietrich Seitz as living in Lancaster, Penn., at the times of the 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses. He is listed as Jacob Sides. His family consists of his
wife Wilhelmina (Minnie in 1880 census) b. June 1830 in Baden and the following children:
Michael born 21 Nov 1851 in Adelshofen, Baden, Germany (it is unknown why his name is not with those of his parents and sister on the 1854 passenger list)
Catherine (not with family in 1880) born 10 July 1853 in Adelshofen, Baden, Germany
Jacob born c.1855 in Penn.
Lydia born 1856-58 in Penn.
Elizabeth born 1858-59 in Penn.
William born c.1860 in Penn
Adam born c.1862 in Penn.
Elmina/Minnie (this could be Wilhelmina) born c.1864 in Penn.
Louisa (only in 1870 census) born c.1866
We are primarily interested in locating male-line descendants of the sons Michael, Jacob, William and Adam to particpate in a Y-chromosome DNA test, but welcome any information about this family.
