This is a post that I found in here that might help you, I post in here and also under Sieg, the info. is the same, don't know where the mispelling originally came from but we always spelt it sieg and that's also the way it is on the tombstones at the cemetery in Linn MO., hope this helps!

Ruthie Fisher- I may have some information for you. I am a Sieg decendant whose family came from Rapperswil, Switzerland about 1848. They settled in Osage Co., MO., living in or around Frankenstein and Linn. Joseph Vincent Sieg (my great,great, grandfather)born 18 Apr 1806 married 20 May 1840 to Maria Johanne(No Surname)born 2 June 1809. Their children: Maria Katherine 31 Mar 1841, Joseph Beatty 26 May 1842, Joseph Ansen 15 July 1843 to 23 Dec 1843, Joseph Vincent 16 July 1844, Regina Josepha 2 Dec 1845 to 6 May 1848, Louisa(Franciska)13 June 1848, Mary Ellen(Helena) 22 May 1847. The information I have is that Mary Ellen married an Ammon Wolf 3 Aug 1863. If this sounds like the family you are searching for I will send you all the information I have
