SEIBER, PHILIP, Anderson Co, TN
I don't know where old Philip Seiber was born? Maybe Germany, & it was simply passed down through the family?
Philip Seiber was bornbetween 1760-1770 according to the 1830 & 1840 Anderson Co, TN census records. He was deceased bef 1850, so no documentation from census records can be verified as to his birth place, because he never appeared in a census that states where he was born.
It would make sense to me that if his 1st 2 children:
1) Philip Jr Seiber b December 10, 1788 (actual birth place unk) but---
2) Samuel Wesley Seiber b April 05, 1790was recorded in the 1850 Anderson Co, TN census records as being born in MD.
Old Philip Seiber was married prior to his marriage to Mary Lively by logical fact, because ofthe birth dates of his 1st 4 children & the marriage date of January 29, 1802 to Mary Lively.
1)I would assume Philip Jr b December 10, 1788 was also born in MD but I don't know for certain because he never appeared in a census records that recorded his birth place as he died Aft. March 1815.
If the 2nd son of old Philip b between 1760-1770:
2)Samuel Wesley Seiber b April 05, 1790 stated he was b in MD I'm just assuming both children were born in MD
It would also make sense to me that Philip Seiber b between 1760-1770
married his 1st wife UNKNOWN in Maryland by the recorded births ofhis 1st 2 children being born in MD.
Let's assume he started his route was from MD to TN & his 1st wife died on the way or in Jefferson Co, TN.
He obviously married January 29, 1802 Jefferson Co, TN, to a 2nd wife & her name was Mary Lively b 1769. Since Mary Lively stated in the 1850 Anderson Co, TN Census Records as being 81 years old, meaning she was born abt 1769 in TN according to the 1850 census records.
So if Mary was married in 1802 & she was born in 1769, she would have been abt 33 yrs old. That's what makes me believe that Mary has a last name unk & was married to a Lively prior to her marriage to Philip Seiber?
It's also very possible that Mary Lively had many children prior to her marriage to Philip Seiber. This is pure speculation on my part, & no documented proof!
But if old Philip Seiber had a 1st marriage prior to Mary (last name unk), then I'm using this basis to explain & justifymy reasoning that Mary would have also had a family & maybe her husband had also died. But, maybe she was
and old maid?:)
