Hi I saw your post on the Segrest from Macon Co. Al. and though our names or different we may be connected. I am related to the Sigrest of Mississippi who came there in the early 1800's one was a Jacob Segrest who settled in Jefferson Co. the other was Martin Sigrest who settled in Wayne Co. Miss. I do believe they were brothers. As far as your problem I have a suggestion that will help you on the Segrest from Al. You need to locate a genealogy library a see if they have a book called the "THE SEGREST SAGA". It is a book that has done a tremendouz reseach on all Segrest in Alabama.
