"New" documents for Francis and Lucretia

While I'm at it, I recently found these documents on our first American forebears:

From the Isle of Wight Deed Book 2, p. 154, dated 9 June 1710, John Underwood of Newport Parish and wife, Bidgewtt Underwood, to Francis Seagraves, 187 acres bounded by John Ricks, John Powell and Thomas Underwood (being the land taken up by James Curlee in 1690). Wit: Arthur Smith, William Hunter and Robert Brock. Signed John Underwood and Bridget (X) Underwood, and recorded 9 June 1710.

Same source, pg. 163, Francis Seagrave is a witness to a deed from William Carver and Jane Carver to Richard Exum, dated June 1710, and recorded 9 June 1710. He signed with an "X".

Same source, pg. 175, Francis Seagrave is a witness to a deed from George Anderson and Elizabeth Anderson to Ralph Vicars dated 29 Dec. 1710 and recorded 26 Feb 1710. Also signed with an "X".

Same source, pg. 177, dated 1 Nov 1717, Francis Seagrave and wife, Lucrese Seagrave, of Isle of Wight to Abraham Ricks of Nansemond County.... -?- acres on the head of the Western Branch of Nansemond (being the land willed to said Seagrave by Mr. Henry Plumton on 16 May 1704) and bounded by Roger Tarlton and Lewis Smelly. Wit: Richard Exum and Natham Moore. Rec: 26 Mar 1710. Signed Francis (X) Seagrave and Lucrese (X) Seagrave.

From Isle of Wight Deeds, Wills... Great Book Vol. 2 1715-1726, pg. 147, Francis Seagrave, Merchant Tayler, appoints Jonathan Sanderson, Cordwinder, as his attorney. Wit: John Maicone and William (X) Perry. Rec. 27 Jan 1717, Signed Francis (X) Seagrave

Same source, pg. 148, Francis Seagrave and wife, Luce (Lucretia) Seagrave to William Page.... 230 acres (being land bought from Richard Exum who had bought it from William Carver and wife Jane carver.... John More is mentioned). Wit: John Maceone and William (X) Pym. Rec: 27 Jan 1717 and signed Jonathan (X) Sanderson and Lucretia (X) Seagrave.

I Googled "Merchant Tayler", and learned that this was (and is) a trade association, AKA a livery company, at first an association of taylors. Livery Companies originally developed as guilds and were responsible for the regulation of their trades, controlling, for instance, wages and labour conditions. They also play an important part in social life and networking in the City of London, and they are an educational institution, owning various tailoring and other schools, and a charitable institution as well. The Merchant Taylor School in London (Northwood) was opened in 1561, and Foyle College in Londonderry (Northern Ireland) opened in 1617.

It was something of a status symbol, and if Francis - our Francis - was able to official claim it, he must have attended one of the Merchant Taylor schools. He may have gone to either of them. I have not yet been able to discover how to look up old students, or if it's even possible. Any ideas, anyone?
