Nice to see you back in the rotation!! I have been overly busy as well. Many people have emailed me wondering if I could reach you. Say, I have a question I would like your opinion on. My ancestor Clemson Seagraves reportedly married to a Sarah McCune on MANY IF NOT ALL information I have found. HOWEVER... I would like to challenge this finding, because... in the 1850 census there is a 39 year old Matilda McCune and a 5 year old Sarah McCune living with Sarah who is 30 at the time. My guess is that this is a sister, whose MARRIED name is McCune, not her MAIDEN name. I think this is where the McCune name came from. I have yet to find marriage records. 19 537 537 Seagraves Clem 30 M W Laborer N. Carolina X 20 537 537 Seagraves Sarah 30 F W Georgia X 21 537 537 Seagraves Nancy A.
