The last census information for John and Patsy, as well as for William and Cheney is in the Anson Co. NC 1820 census. By 1830, John dies in 1828 in Madison Co. GA, and Patsey is listed alone with one younger female and several slaves in the Madison Co GA census of 1830. Which William shows up in. Zilpha and Burrel follow, and I show are married in Gwinnett Co GA. I have a cousin on Seagraves side Gene Collum. His Grandfather married my Great Great Aunt Maud Seagraves. John Robert Collum is the GGrandson of Zilpha and Burrell through their Daughter Martha Ann married to Charles Thompson Collum. William Isaac Seagraves is the Father of my Clemson Seagraves. I show William Isaac marrying Priscilla Cheney Strickland in Wake Co. NC December 18, 1807.
I would like to find Will books and probate for John in Madison Co. That would help illuminate the relationships of who his children are. Also perhaps for Patsy Seagraves who dies in Madison Co. in 1836.
I had to reconstruct my tree after computer problems and at the moment I am havig difficulty finding the CD that has my saved research regarding Burrell and Zilpha moving to GA. So forgive me of that...
I hadn't examined these relationships for some time, like I discussed with you before, I had been working on other lines. One of which I just found and connected besides other lines.
I will be searching Historical records for more info during the coming weeks.
