Nancy,

The only information that I have on Ann Ellison is the marriage document to Jesse Segars. I do have the 1840 census information that shows Phillippinia and her three boys living with James Ellison. This is the earliest positive information that I have concerning the three boys. The Segers Reunion was in Marion, Illinois last weekend
and 99% of those attending are descendants of
James Segers---I am a descendant of Isaiah --and to date, I have not found any descendants of William. I must admit that I
have been concentrating on trying to go back
further - to find what country we originally
came from. I can't seem to even find the
tie to Jesse except for land grants in Gallatin Co. Ill. and the continuance of the name 'Jesse' throughout our families. I feel that Phillippinia was probably a sister to James Ellison - I was not sure how old he was
as the census records that I found were not
legible (52 or 32 yrs. old.) On my first trip to Ill., I visited with an Ellison but he had not even realized that there were 3 boys living with James Ellison. I have no information on the Ellison's but would love to tie down the connection between Ellison and Segers/Segars.
