G'day Chris,
I've checked through my records but can't find connection. My Sephtons came from Eccleston. I think your family appears on 1871 census at 49 Kemble St. Prescot.
William Sephton, head, married, 37 Watch Pinion Maker, born WARRINGTON.
Mary, his wife, 33, born Eccleston.
James, son, 12, scholar, b Prescot
William son, 9 scholar Prescot
Joseph son, 8 scholar Prescot
Mary E. daughter 6 born Prescot
Edwin son age 4 Prescot.
Martha, son, 4 b Prescot
Emma, daughter 3 months b Prescot.
If this is your lot, you'll have to check Warrington records to get back further with William (head) & his early family. Good luck.
