Hi John
I was interested in your mail about the seftons/sephtons from Scarisbrick and wondering if there could be a connection with my family. I have traced my Seftons back to my great great grandfather James, but they all seem to have lived in the Liverpool area. It is possible that they came from the Lancashire countryside further back down the line. I had originally thought that they were Irish immigrants but they appear to be living in the Liverpool area before the influx.
