Nicky,
I have seen this as well and my current hunch is
Edward Sedgwick (birth unknown) and Elizabeth ?(1763-1850) are the parents of
Maria Sedgwick(1795-1854)
Edward Sedgwick (1799-1834) pipe maker.
Leonard Sedgwick (1802-1883) pipe maker.
When Edward died in 1834 Maria took over his trade for a period of time? At a later census she was a milliner (hat maker)
I have also recently found out that the following Sedgwick's are all all in Grave 1304 in Hunslet cemetery
Unconsecrated Section
Maria Sedgwick aged 59 31.12.1854 Burial No 1166
Elizabeth SEDWICK 87 31/12/1850 Burial No 452
Elizabeth Sedgewick 32 1/1/1881 Burial No 12108 (Williams wife)
William Sedgewick 75 6/5/1897 Burial No ?
I was wondering why they were in the unconsecrated section - it seems Elizabeth (Maria mother) was buried first so maybe something to do with her.
Any further information would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Andrew
