Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I'm not a SEDDON researcher but thought this info may help someone who is. From the 1915 Past and Present of Shelby County, Iowa, is the following:
"The author is particularly indebted for most of the foregoing information to JOSEPH SEDDON, now a resident of Persia, Iowa. Mr. SEDDON came to Shelby County in 1864 with HENRY HALLIDAY, who was his step-father. Mr. SEDDON was born in England, Dec 8, 1844; he came to America in 1848, arriving at Council Bluffs, Iowa, on July 3, 1850. His father died August 12, 1850, and in 1856 JOSEPH SEDDON moved to Florence, Nebraska. In 1858 he went to Genoa, Nebraska, and in 1864 he came back to Shelby Co., Iowa, where he remained a pioneer resident for many years and helped to develop the township of Cass."
