We have a Jacob E. Sechrist, b ca 1875 who married 21 Dec 1893 in Shrewsbury, York, PA to Alice Ann Mellinger. Their son, Gerry E. b Feb 1894, shows up in the 1900 census, living with his grandparents, Milton Mellinger. A Jacob E. Sechrist of the right age, b ca 1775 shows up in Illinois in 1810 & 1811 married to Dorthea, both claiming first marriage in 1905. Can anyone connect to any of these?
