Gloria: Are you still researching Sechrist in York Co PA?
I have a Jacob Sechrist b. abt 1795 in PA who was first married to ? and had, at least, two children: Henry b. abt 1838 and Barbara b. abt 1834. Then he married a Catherine Schneider Seitz who had one living daughter by Joseph Seitz: Susan b. 1842 and then had by Sechrist: Saloma 1844; Emma 1849; Rebecca 1852 and Daniel 1854.
Jacob probably died between the 1870 and 1880 census as Catherine, his widow, is with her daughter, Saloma, and son-in-law, Benjamin F. Myers on the 1880.
Catherine's first husband was Joseph Seitz.
Please reply as I find very few studying these York Co PA Sechrist families...the above lived in Shrewsbury.
