I have had the hardest time with my gg grandmother. According to her death certificate from St Clair County, Illinois, she was born in Kentucky. Her parents are listed as Sie Balcon and May/Mary.
How she got the last name Seicrest I do not know. She married when she was 16 (census records) to William H. Pullen. They were most likely married in Illinois, as I believe their first born, my g grandfather, Wilbur Pullen was born in 1902. On census records, it lists Minnie as being born in Illinois. On the 1930 census, she is remarried to Ervin Albert Suschanke. She has two children named Ervin Albert, one is a Pullen the other a Suschanke. When her first husband died, they were split up. It is family concensus that Ervin Albert Pullen is the son of Mr. Suschanke, not Mr. Pullen. I would like any help on untangling this web. I don't know what I should do, where I should look.
Most importantly, How she got the surname Seicrest!
