Hello James,

I noticed your post. Was curious if you found any further info. I am a descendant of Paulus and "Phroney (Sechler) Anthony. Their son Philip was born in 1742 in Northampton Co, PA. He married about 1790 to Anna Maria Kistler born 17 FEB 1764. They only had one son named Paul born in 1793.

Paul married on 03 JAN 1831 to Mary Magdalene Rhodes born 17 MAY 1797. According to Paul's will dated 20 MAR 1861 and recorded in Catawba County, NC, his wife Magdalene was still living and they had the following children:
(All their children born in what is today Newton, Catawba Co, NC)

son Philip b: abt 1832
son Cephas Paul b: abt 1834
son Abel Henry b: abt 1835
son Abraham b: abt 1839
son Jacob b: abt 1841
dau Elizabeth Selena b: abt 1837
dau Ann Mary b: abt 1843

Paul Antony and his wife Anna M (Kistler) Anthony are buried in Newton, Catawba Co, NC in the Grace Church Cemetery.

This info and the dates of birth for the children comes from the book "Ancestry of Henry Jacob Anthony: The Family Tree," manuscripted by Henry Jacob Anthony, 30 DEC 1878

This family is a very confusing one because every line repeated naming their children the same common names: Paul, Philip, Jacob, John, and Mary

Anyway, your Mary Anthony that married Felix Wild is not the daughter of Philip, son to Paulus. It may be possible that she belongs to one of his other boys. A few of them have no lines proved. There is also a Jacob and wife Catharina Anthony (brother to Paulus) who were sponsors to Paulus and Phoney for the birth of their son Jacob born in 1762. There are land records in NC for Paul, Jacob and Philip recorded in 1768. This is for sure Paulus, his son Philip, (because Philip, brother to Paulus didn't migrate to NC that early but remained in PA for a few more years) and then there is Jacob which is a big question mark. He could be brother to Paulus with the wife named Catharina or could be a son of Paulus. I don't think anyone has been able to decipher this one.
Paulus also has a son named Abraham born abt 1743-45 and he is supposed to have migrated to Table Rock area north of Morganton NC and on to TN where he is said to have suffocated in a well. I think someone out there has some of Abraham's descendents listed but I don't have that info available to me right now. I do remember reading that Abraham's sister Hannah, who married a Hartsell, (I think it was Jacob Hartsell but not positive) also went to TN after she was widowed, to be close to her brother Abraham.

Hope this helps you with your search.
Best Regards,
