SHREVEPORT, LA - Celebration of Life services for William K. Seawright, 79 will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Centuries Memorial Chapel with Reverend Murry Hodge and Brother Rod Mastellar of Summer Grove Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana. The family will be receiving guests for visitation from the hours of 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Centuries.
Mr. Seawright was born July 22, 1930 in Waco, Texas to the late Claude Eugene and Iva Lee Head Seawright Sr. and was called home following a brief illness to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 19, 2009 in Shreveport, Louisiana where he lived for 36 years. Mr. Seawright was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church here in Shreveport where he was a member of Owen Rogers Sunday Class. Mr. Seawright served his greatful nation in the United States Air Force retiring after 26.5 years. Mr. Seawright will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather and a loyal friend to all who knew him.
Mr. Seawright was preceded in death by his parents; one son; Clinton Scott Seawright, one brother; Claude Eugene Seawright Jr., and one sister; Gloria Aliene Seawright. Left to cherish his memory and tell his stories will be his loving wife of 56.5 years; Mrs. Naomi Marie Seawright, one daughter; Dottie Haddock and husband Glen, two sons: Scott Seawright and wife Aliese, and Casey Seawright and wife Karen, six grandchildren: Taylor, Austin, and Alexis Haddock, Crystina, Colby, and Cyle Parker, one great-granddaughter; Kayla Marie Seawright, one nephew; Richard Seawright, a special friend Keiko; his Golden Retriever, along with a host of extended family members and many friends.
Paying tribute to Mr. Seawright by acting as pallbearers will be: Scott Seawright, Casey Seawright, Taylor Haddock, Rufus Schuff, Corkey Folmar, and Owen Rogers.
