Mrs. Blackstone: I am really reaching with this question so I hope you will be patient with my explanation. I notice that "Sharp" is your maiden name? I am descended from Jane Sharp(b. 1795 in South Carolina; m. John Moses Fields 1811 in Madison County, Alabama). Her oldest child was named Jane Seawright Fields. Also, in our family cemetery in Attala County, Mississippi a Andrew Seawright, his wife and 6 children are buried near Jane Sharp Fields. I know there was also another Andrew Seawright who is buried in Tippah County, Mississippi from postings on this forum, and he is a generation younger than the Andrew who is buried in our cemetery so they may be related in some way, but are obviously different men. My question after all of this is: do you know of some relationship between Sharps and Seawrights in South Carolina? I have been unable to learn who Jane's parents were and I thought this might give me some idea of how to proceed. I would appreciate any hints you might give me. Charlotte
