Kevin,

My database shows Asa Seaver (or Sever) born 22 Oct 1799 in Stoddard, Cheshire County, NH to Samuel and Sarah (Cutter) Seaver. I think I found that in the NH vital records database - cards received from NH town clerks. My first instinct is to write Stoddard and see if they have it and if you can get a birth record.

I have Sarah Lavinia Seaver's birth date as 22 June 1838 in Parishville, St. Lawrence County, NY. Without looking through my big folders of correspondence, I can't pinpoint where I got that info. I'm guessing I got it from you several years ago, though! A Bible record? The death dates of Sarah and husband David Armstrong are new to me, though. I assume that you've checked Parishville for birth records? What about a marriage record or death record - they might have a birth date. Was Judson Armstrong their only child? Did they continue to live in Parishville?

Regards -- Randy (rjseaver@cox.net)
