Thanks for your response. I'm trying to determine whether the line that I'm researching is connected to Henry Seavers b. @1743. I'm researching an unknown Seavers who died in Wythe Co, VA in 1818, leaving children named John, Henry, William C., Jeremiah, Susannah, Christopher and Francis by one wife and Betsy, Matilda and Nancy by another wife.

I have seen the children of the Henry b. 1743 as Jacob (m. Esther Croberger), John and Elizabeth (m. James Lamar). They seemed to be in a lot of the same places as Jacob & Esther Seaver--Hawkins Co., TN, Indiana, southwestern VA. Esther Croberger Seaver's parents died in Hawkins Co. in the 1830s; Unknown Seaver's sons Jeremiah (not to be confused with Jacob & Esther's son Jeremiah), Joseph, and Christopher moved to Hawkins Co. in the 1820s. When Unknown Seaver's son Henry died in 1821, some of his siblings were in Indiana, where Jacob & Esther had moved about 1819/1820. Coincidence???

Perhaps the unknown Seaver was a brother to Lemuel's father John, or perhaps Henry had siblings who are the ancestors of the Wythe Co. group. Could you let me know what your sources are and whether the sources mention any other siblings of John or of John's father Henry? Also, what do you know of Lemuel's mother?
