John Seayres is further noted as suing the Beckahm family in 1745
Indicating he lived on his land for at least 3 years
There are many many references to this man and others of his first and last name in this region going forward.
There is reference in the Rockefeller papers which I cant access right now
references in the Thomas Jefferson papers refering to provisions for the Widow of Col. Seayres
Thomas Seayres b. 1720 in King and Queen County Virginia
also has a son named John Seayres but he was born in 1750
and thus cannot be the John Seayres getting land in 1742
Perhaps Thomas and John were brothers?
Perhaps Thomas and John and Joseph were brothers?
There certainly are a number of "unknown" Seayres Sayers born around 1700-1720 all living in this same area.
