I had one uncle (now deceased), and his two sons (twins) who had asthma. Our Sears/Scears/Scars came out of KY about 1828 to southern IL, then went north and west to MT, WA and OR. My gg-grandfather was born 1818 in KY, but I have yet to find the place or his parents names. He died in MT in 1899, and the only source we have for his parents was the 1880 census where he claimed his parents were both born in KY. This is my big brick wall line.
