STILL SEARCHING: Interested in learning more about William Sears and his family. He appears in the 1860 Upshur Co TX census with Viana, with 4 children: Sarah 7 (c.1855), James 5 (c.1857), Mary 4 (c.1856), John 1 (c.1859). In the hh above them is Viana's brother Alexander Earp and his family.

I believe he might have died sometime between 1860-1865 as his wife Viana remarried and had a child by her new husband in 1867. I don't know what happened to the Sears children; I haven't found them yet. In 1850 there is the family of Dr. A. Sears and his wife. They were from NY & Ohio, whereas William gives his birthplace as TN, but I did not see him in Upshur in 1850. I not found him successfully elsewhere.

Don't know yet what happened to the children of William Sears. For all I know they could have been William's from a marriage previous to Viana. I have not found Viana in the 1870 census with her new husband (Henry Johnson Alexander) so I cannot say if the children were ever with them. By then Sarah Sears would have been old enough to marry (17) and the other three children 15,14 and 11, if they survived to 1870. And of course, by 1880 even harder to tell.

Would like to find out what happened to these children and any descendants.
