I am researching any and all information on my SEARLES family history which originates back to Barbados, BWI. Last person I know of is George Searles who married Donna Gatt. In Barbados our family owned a Sugar Cane Factory and then moved to Grenada. To our knowledge George and Donna had 3 sons: Percival, Leo and Archibald. Due to finding records of a brother in law (John Edward Elms)there may have been a sister. Percival during the war ended up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and married Agnes C. Boyd of Glasgow, Scotland. 3 of 6 children where born in Halifax. Percival came to New York in May, 1923 and his wife and 3 children Letitia (Letty), David, and Percival (Bobby) joined them in July, 1923. THey had 3 more children George and John (twins) and Louis. Percival Sr.'s other brother Leo joined Percival in USA in May, 1924 from St. George's, Grenada along with Clarence Searles (we think Archibalds son) and John Edward Elmds. Letitia (Letty) went on to marry Emile (Miles) Dowden and had 4 children: Agnes, Lewis, Valerie and Rex. David Searles went on to marry Ethel Fay of New York and had 2 children David and Raymond. David made his career in the USS Army. Only other info is that one of the other sons was was the Boston Fire Chief for many years. Anyone with any info PLEASE contact me. We are trying desperately to find any and ALL info on our family to fit certain pieces together. Thank you, Stacey Searles
