Thanks for replying. I don't dispute that Reuben was entitled to the DAR listing, only that my line is not in his direct line. I believe his brother BArtlett to be my direct ancestor based on information I have gleaned in research. However, two distant cousins obtained membership through Reuben in the early part of the last century. When I inquired with DAR, they said the lineage was in error. Do you have any information on BArtlett? I believe his son W. W. SEarcy is my direct ancestor and the great grandfather of these two cousins. Would really like to clear this one for posterity.
