Hi Stewart
The information on the marriage of Charity Brush and Gershom Smith came from a history of the Thomas and Richard Brush family. Charity Brush married a Gershom Smith in 1766 so this isn't the same one who married Catherine Manwaring in 1733, if that Gershom died in 1736.
I have more info on the Brush line.
I found Catherine's marriage in an index of New York City marriages.
1881 New York Genealogical and Biographical Record (quarterly) pg 78. Geishom Smith married Catherine Manwaring, 1733, Hempstead, Queens, NY marriage ID #45-0000228
I will check and see if I have anything else on them.
