CHICKASAW CHIEF SAMUEL SEALY

Samuel Sealy, the son of trader Benjamin Sealy. Samuel was also called MUNROE TULLIE. In 1800 he was described as " a half breed and a considerable personage among the Indians".

He was chief of one of the Chickasaw Districts n the east after 1815. In 1828 he explored the west, and signed the treaties of 1816, 1818, 1830, and 1832.

He was listed on the 1818 tribal census with NEELY in his household. He had a son who was christened T. CHARLETON HENRY", by the missionaries.

SAMUEL was granted a land reserve by the 1830 Franklin, Tennessee treay. He died on Yockingpatata Creek about 1835.
