I am descended of George Sealy - GGF - of Galveston, TX. According to the research family members have done and the book "Indian Wars and Pioneers of Texas" circa 1898 Brown, John and George were the only sons of Robert and Mary Sealy in Wilksbarre, PA. Robert was I recall a locksmith who learned his "trade" since he was not the eldest son of his family and stood not to assume leadership of the family properties. I am not sure about his being "disinherited for marrying a commoner" but seem to recall reading in that book?, he was given money from his elder brother in exchange for giving up his future claim to inherit, and that is what he used to finance his life in America. I do have a copy of our family tree if that would be of interest.

Edward Sealy, San Antonio, Texas
