Actually I just want to correct some of the information that Pam has posted. I am her 1st Cousin and got the same information plus I found some additional info.:
War of 1812 pension application W.O. #29031, W.C.#29501.
He was born 19 January 1793. Enlisted into service in Jefferson County, TN on 20 Sept. 1814 in Captain Reuben
Tipton's Company of East Tennessee Mounted Gunmen. Discharged 1 May 1815. He married Tabitha Ann Owens in
Dandridge, Jefferson Co. TN on 16 Dec. 1817. She was born
16 March 1799. They remained in Dandridge, TN about 2
yrs., then moved to Montgomery, AL for about 16 yrs.
They lived in Union County, AR about 8 years and in
Hempstead County, AR about 2 yrs. They moved to Ft.
Smith, Sebastian County, AR ca. 1869. They had 11
children, the first born in 1819 and the last born in 1839. In 1879, Nicholas Sehorn, son of Hugh and Tabitha Sehorn, was living in Sebastian Co. AR. He stated: "I was
born in August 1825, my mother had 11 children, all of
whom, except myself and a sister are dead. My sister
resided the last we heard in Louisiana, we lost track of
her during the war."

According to census records I have noted that Hugh indicates that he was born in TN. Tabitha A. Owens
indicated that she was born in VA.
