Thanks for the clarification. That Daniel has been one of my mystery men of NC. I have him as follows:
1790 Census Hillsborough Dist., Wake Co., NC: Daniel, free white male 16 & up
1800 Census Montgomery Co., NC: Daniel, 1 male 0-9; 1 male 26-44; 1 female 0-9; 1 female 10-15
1810 Census Montgomery Co., NC: Daniel, 2 males 10-15; 1 male 26-44; 3 females 0-9; 1 female 16-25; 1 female 26-44
1840 Census Montgomery Co., NC: Dan'l on supplement to census index
Since he does not show up on the census in 1850 in NC or GA, I assume that you mean that he must have died between 1840 and 1850. Do you have any more material tying him to GA and the families that show up there in Pike Co.? Also, do you have any leads on who his father was?
Thanks again for walking me through these folks and their erratic wanderings through time and space.
