I'm looking for information on what happened to Lena Samantha Beasley b. May 1894 in Coffee County Alabama. Lena was the youngest daughter of Henry Thomas Albion VanBuren Beasley and Rebecca Matilda Faulk. The last online record seems to be a Coffee County Marriage record for 31 May 1918. A Beasley cousin and I have been looking for a death certificate or any information on what happened to the lady. She seems to have vanished off the face of the earth.
The Coffee County Marriage transcripts indicate that she married G.D. Seagers in 1918 (31 May). There is a George D. Segars son of Jonas J. Segars and Margeret Segars. Does anyone know if the G.D. Seagers that married Lena Beasley is really George D. Segars (b. 1891)? George died young (age 35) on Oct. 17, 1927 in the Coffee County Alms house. Another posting indicated that George's death certificate stated that he was a widower but did not post the name of George's wife.
The short form of the death certificate on Ancestry did not have much detail. Unfortunately, the short form does not show the wife's name.
I really appreciate any information!
