Dear John,
We have Seagers who were probably born in East London or Essex at about 1800, we believe that at least one of the family (John) went to Tobago (we dont know why) we think that he married a Margaret Seager in Tobago and had several children. John, Richard, Margaret, and Eliza (maybe more).
Most of the family arrived back in Lodon in the mid 1800's (we think). Some of the names above are on the 1871 census living in East London. The rest is still a mystery, but we continue to search. If you have any more information on your own Seagers or other family members perhaps you could let me know. Lydia Wheeler (incidentally the name seems to be spelt differently almost every time.
