Thankyou for your prompt reply - I do not know if this is the same John Seager although the age is certainly right and the fact that they lived in Southampton which is the port I believe that our John Seager set sail from when he went to Tobago. I know very little after this because most records in Tobago were destroyed by hurricans and although we have visited Tobago we could find no record of our family. We know that the children were born there and that John and Margaret were more than likely married there. As there are no records of marriages births or deaths in this country we feel that the records were all in Tobago. Alas we now have no way to verify these assumptions. We will however keep digging so any imformation you can supply about your family may in time help us to find out more . Thanks Lydia.
