I was once married to a Seabrook here in Canada. His grandfather was from England. The Seabrook came about about 8 generations ago. Apparently, an English lord fell in love with a gypsy maiden and had a child which they named Seabrook (apparently the conception took place by the 'seabrook'. My ex mother-in-law visited England and saw the grave of the son of the first Seabrook.
I believe this info is quite accurate.
