In answering the Sarah and Mary question,
Sarah - surname not known was married to Cpt. Robert Seabrook. His son, Robert, Jr. married Mary Whitmarsh. I would be greatful if you sent me the Benjamin Whitmarsh born 1901 and his family forward. I much, much info on the Seabrooks' of SC. Robert Sr. lived on John's Island and not Seabrook Island. The Seabrooks' lived mainly on Edisto, John's Island and James Island. My information comes from 20 years of research and also a book called, "Seven South Carolina Low Country Families" by Joseph LaRoche Rivers. Mr. Rivers has just written a second book, which corrects some of the errors in the 1st book. It has just come out and I will have my copy in a few weeks. I do not know how many were printed or how to order one, but if anyone is interested, e-mail me and I will find out. The book is only $20.00 and I know the copies are limited. The 1st book is out of print.Mr. Rivers has the books done locally, so I don't think you will find them on line. If anyone needs any information on the Seabrooks, they can e-mail me. Hope the above info on Sarah and Mary will clear things up for some people.
If anyone out there knows what happed to the Thomas Bannister Seabrook line, we would appreciate it would be shared with us. He had 5 children - 3 girls and 2 sons who were not wre not followed. We have the husbands of the girls, but nothing on the sons. The line was dropped off the chart. This is a Seabrook chart that was done by a lady that left off people and made many mistakes. Joseph Rivers 1st book corrected some of this. There are many questions about some of the Seabrooks that we have been unable to find the answer. Let me know if I can help.
