Hello,
I am not the Bill you met at the Family Reunion. I am the Bill that was referenced in the New Yorker article. I am the computer programmer who works in New York City for an Insurance company. I would not put too much stock in the Coat of Arms thing. Why would you want to bare something that was not yours? If you want your own, you can get one at the Collage of Arms in England. There is a process and it costs a couple of hundred dollars. The Coat of Arms you receive is based on your current profession, salary, net worth, education, military experience etc. Remember only the fist son of the first son...... can bare the arms. I am my fathers second son. If he had arms I would not be able to bare them. I have a copy of a Seabrook's Coat of Arms but remember it is highly unlikely they are yours. You can be sued for claiming they are if in fact they are not.
