Barbara, your Mary Polly Seaborn married Irby Thompson and they are on the 1860 Census in Bradley Co,Tn. living close to both the Seaborns and Richard and Martha Thompson.

I have more on your Polly Seaborn, may not be much but I do have some and will go look it up.

Richard Thompson , according to the census shows born in Tn. and his parents were too. He was born about 1830. Martha shown on the census was born in Tn. and her parents were too. Her birthdate is shown as 1822 and 1830. 1860 Bradley ,Tn. census. In 1870 martha is a widow with 3 daughters and they are in Rhea County,Tn.

The only other record I find of them is regarding a lawsuit about land that occurred in 1857 in Bradley Co,Tn. this did not end until 1867. James Seaborn was named in this lawsuit but I don't know if he was on Richard's side or the other person's side. A cousin found this lawsuit and says you can hardly read it. I believe this was in Chancery Court and Martha was a widow before it ended as there was a summons for her (widow) and his heirs, the 3 girls naming them to be in court. I think James in 1867 was too ill to go and a son represented him.

Will look all this up and get back to you.
Thank yu for such an early reply.

Wanda
