Ron: This is not about Nannie Katherine Seabolt, but was looking at old Seabolt messages from way, way back, and wrote down your e-mail. Was so pleased to find you still activly researching. We must be cousins. Rachel Seabolt and Dr. Richard Bark Foreman were my great, great, grandparents - the grandparents of my grandfather, Bark Foreman Cleveland, of Bluejacket, OK. His mother was Susan Louella Foreman who was married third and last time to John Clark Cleveland. Susan's other husbands (don't know dates), were John Horn and David Sanders. From what I can tell, John Horn died at a relatively young age (buried at Stillwell, OK?). I am not sure if they were married when he died or not. (ie, widowed or divorced). I only know that Susan Louella (Foreman) Cleveland is buried next to J.C. Cleveland at the Oaks, Delaware County, OK cemetery, which used to be the Moravian Mission. My deceased mother (1911-1993) was widowed with four small children in August of 1943. (Me in the oven, and born posthumously). I never knew my father, Mason Foreman Cleveland, except for what I have learned from family and other people, but my mother kept his memory alive by oral history. She used say my father would talk of going way out on the prairie to visit this old lady (she thought might have been his grandmother). She also used to talk of a lady named "Dovey" whom they used to go to see. I do not know if they were one and the same. I do know that once she had to be out there for several days in the winter, when the wolves would howl right outside the door to the cabin. She was terrified. Afraid to even go outside the door for wood, but did so when they were not as close. She never forgot it, even as an old woman, despite being very capable of taking care of herself, and afraid of very few things.
Your last name is Taylor. Any connection to David Taylor and Mary Ann Bigby? They are my ancestors on my grandmother's side (Mason's mother's Ingram side). I would love to correspond with you if you are interested.
