Hi, Ramona. We may be talking about different Franceses. My Frances Artis (1845-1878) married Adam T. Artis in 1861. They had about 10 children between 1861 and 1878 in Wayne County, NC. Off the top of my head, the children's names were Ida, Napoleon, Adam jr., Louvicey, Eliza, William, Walter, Jesse, Louetta, and Addie. Sound familiar?
