The book called Clay County Place Names says "Haggin's Bend is named for Isac Haggin, early settler whose name was sometimes spelled Haggen, this bend of the Missouri River was located in the southwestern part of Norway Township."
If you go to one of my pages on my web site at http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/e/n/Stephanie-A-Benoit/PHOTO/0002photo.html you will note in the lower left hand (Southwest) corner - Section 7. Haggin's Bend was right in there bordering on the Yankton County line or so it appears in a different map that I have. The picture takes a while to load so be patient.
