Fire at Glenham - 1908

From the Aberdeen Daily News, January 11, 1908

Three Business Places and a Residence Are Burned

A fire at Glenham, yesterday morning, destroyed three buildings in a very short time. The business people who suffered the loss are: Thurston Bros., whose hardware store was burned; Fred Mohor, barber; and Mrs. Shephard, who kept a confectionary store; also Mrs. Shephard's residence.

It looked for a time as though the fire was going to be worse. Lack of water for fire fighting gave the blaze an opportunity to do a great deal of damage.

The fire leaves only two stores on the east side of the main street.
