I found a stone on an unused homesite in northern Union County. Unfortunately, someone intentionally dropped it onto a sidewalk and broke it into three pieces.

The stone says:
Mother
Mary J. SCHAFFER
1899 - 1981.

I did a quick SS search but of the 155 Mary SCHAFFER's found, none died in SD nor did any of the 155 match the dates 1899/1981. Anyone able to locate where the stone should be?
